Preface dated January 1882. It is thought there are actually no copies printed in 1881, but the book was copyrighted in 1881.
RH Lib copy was the first copy of the first printing of the first SDA subscription book ever printed by the denomination. It was sold by George A. King to D. W. Reavis, April 3, 1882. Combining the separate books by Smith on Daniel and Revelation into one larger book was King's idea.
